North Dakota Senator John Hoeven is urging the Surface Transportation Board to address the ongoing rail service problems. In a meeting with STB Vice Chair Robert Primus, Hoeven said rail shipments need to be moving on a current basis before the fall harvest season. Class I railroads have blamed labor shortages for the backlog in rail movement.
