South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson introduced a bill that would blacklist China, Russia and other countries from buying U.S. agriculture companies. It also calls on USDA to determine the risks associated with foreign ownership of U.S. agriculture companies. In a news release, Johnson cites the Fu Feng corn processing project in Grand Forks and its location near the Grand Forks Air Force Base. Johnson says China’s efforts are a threat to U.S. security.
