North Dakota State University Cereal Extension Plant Pathologist Andrew Friskop says wheat crop conditions vary across the state. “Disease reports have remained fairly low, but there is one disease that’s going to be picking up in the next few weeks and that’s bacterial leaf streak.” Friskop says growers should be scouting for scab as well. “Most of North Dakota is in low to moderate risk, but I’m expecting that risk to increase.”
