High crop input costs have influenced buying decisions this year. “I have heard some fertilizer suppliers saying that they felt like they sold less inputs this year,” said David Schlake, agronomy manager, Golden Harvest. “That may be just antidotal, but, there’s definitely growers that felt like this was the year where they cut back a little bit based on input costs and not necessarily looking at the commodity prices.”
