Photos and detailed notes are important when documenting crop and livestock losses. Farm Service Agency Deputy Administrator Scott Marlow offered advice for farmers filing applications for USDA disaster programs. “In the moment, you may think I’ll remember this, but it’s always really important to write everything down. I encourage folks to document with a camera all of the losses first and then, start the process.”
