The application process for the drought relief package that came out of this spring’s Minnesota legislative session will begin this week. “A drought relief package was approved that would bring over $8 million to livestock producers who incurred expenses from last year’s drought,” said Stu Lourey, government relations director, Minnesota Farmers Union. Lourey encourages farmers and ranchers to prepare financials for the application, which are expected to be rolled out tomorrow.
