According to the North Dakota State University Crop and Pest Report, grasshopper nymphs are being seen in field edges of spring wheat and within soybean fields in southeast, southwest and north-central North Dakota. Typically, the egg hatch will wrap up by late June. However, this year’s cool spring may stretch out that period until mid-July.
