NDSU and SDSU Extension are partnering up to host Beef Cattle Mineral Nutrition Field Days at NDSU Central Grasslands Research Extension Center near Streeter, North Dakota on Thursday and at SDSU Cottonwood Field Station near Philip, South Dakota on Friday. NDSU Livestock Systems Specialist Janna Block says this is a hands-on event. “We’re kicking things off with a little bit of field work and forage sampling. We’re also demonstrating liver biopsies to assess herd mineral status.” There will also be mineral updates from industry experts.
