Bennett Consulting President Matt Bennett says there are trouble spots. “Farmers in Ohio, Michigan and parts of northern Indiana are really struggling. It seems like the areas getting rain continue to get more rain,” says Bennett. “In Illinois, most producers are either done or getting close to being done. There will be wet pockets in fields here and there to run.” Central Illinois planting progress looks very good. “We are fortunate with the rainfall patterns. We haven’t had to replant a lot, just a few soybeans here and there.”
