Short-season varieties are the norm in far northwestern Minnesota. Due to the planting delays, Shane Isane, who farms at Badger, expects to see more soybeans this season. “We’re looking at possibly having to make some changes as we get later into the month; we may have to go to more soybeans. We’ll adjust on the fly and hopefully we can miss out on some of these rains.”
