Nearly 1,000 new agricultural license plates are on the road in Minnesota. Minnesota FFA Foundation Executive Director Val Aarsvold said the license plate highlights 4-H and FFA. “It has the rising sun which those of us in the FFA can relate to, it is that bright future ahead,” said Aarsvold. “There are hands which represent hands to larger service in 4-H and also a nod to FFA which awards the Greenhand Degree.” The hands are different sizes with one set representing youth and the larger hands recognizing the role mentors have in the two organizations. The hands also have different skin tones to represent that there’s a place for everyone in agriculture. The license plates can be ordered through the local DMV office and funds go to 4-H and FFA.
