There are a few farmers in the Onida, South Dakota area that have finished planting spring wheat. Others haven’t started. Oahe Grain location manager Tim Luken says they had good moisture last fall. “Between August and the first part of October, we picked up six-to-eight inches of water.” Heading into this past week, Luken said this winter provided the least amount of snow he’s seen in his 32 years in the area.
