Planting delays will likely mean less corn and spring wheat. “That’s what the market is thinking,” said Naomi Blohm, senior market advisor, Total Farm Marketing. “Farmers want to know how long it will take for the snow to melt. Is there a point where some of those producers could think about prevent plant?” These concerns have given the markets a spark. “We’re getting closer to all-time highs in corn.”
