The agriculture, housing and broadband supplemental spending bills have been combined into one huge omnibus bill. The bill was approved in the Minnesota House Ways and Means Committee and sent to the House floor. The agriculture portion of this legislation includes a $53 million increase in spending for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture during the current biennium. That includes money for the Ag Innovation Campus soybean facility at Crookston. There is also funding for the control of noxious weeds, pollinator research and grants for emerging farmers.
