USDA Emergency Livestock Relief Program payments are starting to go out. “Those particular payments are based on the 2021 Livestock Forage Payments that producers applied for,” said Marcy Svenningsen, State Executive Director, North Dakota Farm Service Agency. “There were over 11,000 applications in North Dakota.” The FSA also made enhancements to the Emergency Livestock Assistance Program, covering the movement of livestock to a place where forage is available. The change is retroactive to include all of 2021.
