The Farmers Business Network’s planting intentions report is forecasting corn acreage at 91.1 million acres. That would be down 2.3 million acres from last year. FBN’s report says North Dakota will see the biggest downturn in corn acres. Soybean acres are expected to come in at 89 million acres, up 1.8 million acres from 2021. Minnesota is projected to see a downturn in soybean acres. More soybeans are expected in North Dakota, Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska.
