With uncertainties surrounding global corn production, Brock Associates owner Richard Brock is watching what happens in the United States. Brock is hearing from seed dealers there’s more demand for certain varieties of corn than soybeans this spring in the Midwest. “We think most farmers will use a pretty normal rotation and the big cut in corn acres some are expecting, we don’t think will happen. There may be a minor cut, but we don’t think it’s going to be five million acres like some are forecasting,” says Brock. “Farmers should be taking advantage of good corn prices.”
