In retaliation of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, President Biden has put a ban on Russian oil imports. The ban could happen as early as Tuesday, March 8th. “We’re banning all imports of Russian oil and gas. That means Russian oil will no longer be accepted at U.S. ports and the American people will deal another powerful blow to Putin’s war machine. A united response to Putin’s aggression has been my overriding focus to keep all NATO and all the EU allies totally united.” Biden says the U.S. will aid European allies to decrease their dependency on Russian energy and oil.
