Val Dolcini, North America business sustainability and government affairs head, Syngenta, says the pesticide industry continues to face uncertainty at EPA. “The Pesticide Registration Improvement Act was originally passed some decades ago and we thought as an industry that it would mean regular timelines for the approval of our crop protection tools. Unfortunately, the full-time equivalent of people that work on these issues at EPA has declined from 900 to about 500.”
