Minnesota First District Congressman Jim Hagedorn has died. Hagedorn was serving his second term in Congress and was a member of the House Agriculture Committee. The lawmaker, who was 59, was first diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer in 2019. A primary election has been scheduled for May 24. A special election will be held August 9 to complete the last five months of Hagedorn’s term.
