China canceled a purchase of 380,000 metric tons of corn Thursday. AgriSompo North America market analyst Sterling Smith wa not surprised. “When you deal with China you have to get used to cancellations.” USDA’s weekly export sales were within trade expectations for corn and soybeans, but wheat sales continue to lag. “Wheat’s been struggling. It’s not a great thing for us and I wouldn’t be surprised to see further cutbacks with wheat. The wheat is very expensive and demand is flat.”
