Nufarm is reporting a 36 percent increase in first quarter earnings. Strong demand for its crop protection and seed products were credited for the gains. Net revenue for the 2021 fiscal year topped $3.2 billion with the herbicide business representing nearly half of all revenue. Nufarm’s North American business contributed 35 percent to its year-end total while its Asia-Pacific business represents 27 percent of total revenue. The Australian-based Nufarm said high raw material costs and logistical problems will weigh on company revenues in the year ahead.
