Speaking at a virtual World Economic Forum, U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai said the world should not try to resurrect the trading system that was in place before the pandemic. Tai said lessons can be learned from the past two years and there is an opportunity to build something “that is different and better.” A stronger, more diversified supply chain is one recommendation.
