According to Wednesday’s USDA report, North Dakota’s statewide corn yield this past growing season came in at 105 bushels per acre. That’s down from 139 bushels per acre in 2020. Minnesota averaged 178 bushels per acre, down from 191 bushels per acre. South Dakota had an average of 135 bushels per acre for corn, down from 162 bushels per acre one year ago. For soybeans, North Dakota farmers averaged 25.5 bushels per acre for soybeans. That’s down from 34 bushels per acre in 2020. Minnesota’s statewide average soybean yield was 47 bushels per acre, down just three bushels per acre from one year earlier. For South Dakota, soybeans averaged 40 bushels per acre, down from 46 bushels per acre in 2020.
