A meeting this past week in Alexandria, Virginia brought together the EPA, state pesticide regulatory officials and the agriculture industry. The fate of dicamba was discussed. A senior EPA official said the agency has not made any decision regarding the registration of XtendiMax, Engenia or Tavium. A representative from the Office of Pesticide Programs said EPA understands farmers want to know the dicamba rules for next year, but there is no timeline for that decision. Meanwhile, EPA is still reviewing reports of off-target dicamba injury from this past growing season.
