Former House Agriculture Committee Chair Collin Peterson is making steady progress on the Midwest Ag Coalition. There are currently around 45 members and he’s hopeful of having 50 members by the end of the year. “They’ve done a good job in the south with this and I hope it will work in the north and people will listen.” Peterson is monitoring what the Senate does with the Built Back Better Act. “I don’t know how they’ll get it done; I’m not sure they can afford this bill. They keep claiming they’re going to pass it, but we’ll see.” Peterson was a guest speaker at the 2021 Northern Ag Expo.
