According to Indigo Agriculture Global Head of Carbon Chris Harbourt, the carbon market is growing. Farmers have options if they want to explore. “We are trying to give our farmers options into the future, making sure they don’t feel backed into a corner with a carbon program. We are building ways farmers can participate in carbon, low-carbon fuel and diversity programs. Giving those options, a grower can get into a program and stick with us a long time.” Carbon markets are a chance for agriculture to get revenue from doing good things for the environment. “We’re currently operating in 26 states, bringing revenue opportunities to farmers for doing new practices and making them stick.”
