Zaner Ag Hedge Chief Marketing Strategist Ted Seifried is expecting a sideways to firmer trade going into the end of 2021 with South American weather coming to the forefront. “There’s a very strong chance of a La Nina for South America’s growing season, which could cause problems for Argentina for southern Brazil. Right now, weather isn’t a problem.” Brazil’s crop is off to a very good start. “If there is going to be a change in the weather pattern, it would be a change for the worst. This would be a bullish scenario for the markets. Overall, now that the November USDA report is out of the way, I think we have outside potential that there’s risk with South America’s weather.”
