North Dakota Farmers Union Government Relations Director Matt Perdue is interested to see how the North Dakota Legislature spends federal COVID relief money. “Both the House and Senate Interim Appropriations Committees placed a strong focus on infrastructure. I think that will be the cornerstone heading into the special session,” says Perdue. “There’s $317 million for road and bridge projects with $17 million reserved for township projects and $50 million set aside for county projects. That’s a huge win. To see the continued focus on investing in North Dakota’s rural roads, that’s a big deal.”
