The North Dakota Industrial Commission has awarded $1.6 million in Outdoor Heritage Fund matching grants. The approved projects include $985,000 for the North Dakota Natural and Resources Trust to help landowners transition expired CRP ground into farm production. There’s also $300,000 for the North Dakota Department of Agriculture to protect and improve soil health with cover crops.
