At least 20 Chinese provinces are reportedly rationing power due to a coal shortage. This situation is expected to put more pressure on the supply chain disruptions within agriculture. Coal supplies are tight and demand has increased dramatically as the economy recovers. The coal supply has also been influenced by attempts by the government to clean the air before the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
