Federal officials are investigating a ransomware attack on a Fort Dodge, Iowa-based farm cooperative. A cybercriminal group called BlackMatter demanded $5.9 million from New Cooperative. Earlier this summer, JBS paid $11 million to a group of hackers who shut down company computers and temporarily shut down meatpacking plants.
