South Dakota Corn is taking applications for a new executive director. Interim Executive Director Mike Jaspers says within the next month, the association and council boards will likely be reviewing those candidates. “We’re hoping they can have someone on board and through the transition process before the end of the year.” Jaspers says whether or not there will be two separate leaders named is to be determined. “I think there’s also a lot of discussions going on about maintaining the structure they’ve had in the past, too. The important thing is determining what is the best way to represent corn farmers, research and promotion and also the policy side.”
