Fresh potato harvest is happening in the northern Red River Valley. Associated Potato Growers Incorporated CEO Mike Torgerson says farmers started digging near Grafton and St. Thomas, North Dakota on Labor Day weekend. “So far, digging has gone well. The recent rains helped soften up the dirt. Potato quality looks good, but yields may be down slightly due to the dry conditions.” Torgerson thinks overall, it should be a good digging season.
