North Dakota Farm Bureau Public Policy Director Pete Hanebutt said this federal court Navigable Waters ruling just creates uncertainty for farmers and ranchers. “No pun intended, it is going to be hard for us to navigate what we do going forward and a lot of attorneys are going to be paid well to determine where we go from here. It raises a lot of concerns because of all of the challenges that the Waters of the U.S. proposal would have brought to Rural America.”
