The White House is in the process of reviewing the EPA’s proposed 2021 Renewable Volume Obligations. Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Geoff Cooper is not clear about the exact language of EPA’s proposal. “We’re almost into September 2021 and we still don’t have those requirements for this year. We’ve been operating without any RFS requirements for nine months. It will be good to finally have numbers in place this year.” Cooper is not holding his breath of an end-of-August announcement. “I think it will be September at this point. The formal White House review process typically takes three to four weeks. We have been told it may not take that long. We’re looking at the first half of September as a timeframe for these proposals.”
