The Red River Farm Network Crop Tour presented by Pioneer started at Heer Farms Seed south of Douglas, North Dakota. Despite the dry conditions, heat and wind, Brooks Heer says the soybeans are filling good. “It’s not a banner year, but they look good considering what we’ve gone through.” Recent rain offered optimism for 2022. “We’re starting for 2022 if you look at it and we need to start thinking about inputs for next year.” Heer also discusses canola, corn, sunflowers and wheat.
