The Syngenta Group is reporting second quarter sales of $7.4 billion. That’s up 28 percent from the same period last year. A strong commodity market resulted in an increase in planted acres and higher demand. That demand was strongest for Syngenta products that help farmers deal with droughty conditions in the western United States and Brazil.
