A report from the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Market Intel says data from U.S. courts shows a 24 percent decline in bankruptcy filings year-over-year. Farm Bureau says higher commodity prices and well-timed government payments has farm bankruptcy filings at the lowest level since 2015. Not all regions of the country are seeing fewer bankruptcies. However, Farm Bureau says the southwestern U.S. saw bankruptcy filings increase year-over-year.
