The Senate approved a ten-year $3.5 trillion budget resolution early Wednesday morning. This was the first step in the reconciliation process which will allow the legislation to pass with a party-line Democratic vote. bill. This bill is expected to include everything from green energy provisions to immigration reform to free community college. Now House leadership is planning to cut the August recess short and bring lawmakers back on August 23rd to consider the budget resolution.
