The House has passed the 2022 agriculture appropriations bill. The language includes additional money for research, broadband and increased field staffing for the NRCS. The bill does not include new funding for WHIP+, but a separate plan with those dollars passed this past week in the House Agriculture Committee. North Dakota Senator John Hoeven, who is the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Ranking Member, said he wants to include WHIP+ funding for 2020 and 2021 in the new spending bill.
