Palmer amaranth has been confirmed in Goodhue County in southeast Minnesota. The invasive weed was found in two corn fields owned by one farmer. The source of this infestation is not known and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture is continuing its investigation. Palmer amaranth has been found in 11 Minnesota counties.
