At Minnewauken, North Dakota, Quintin Sears remains optimistic about his row crops. “We really haven’t stressed them yet even with the lack of moisture, but July is a long month.” The small grains are extremely uneven, Harvestability will be a problem. “I’m not too worried about the wheat because we can desiccate that so it should make for an even harvest even if the crop isn’t even. We’ll need to get creative with the malting barley and it will look like we stayed out on the town a little too much last night.”
