A limited number of the 2021 model year John Deere X9 series combines will be placed directly with key customers this year and full production will happen in ’22. Early orders will be taken starting in August. True North Equipment sales rep Adam Riesen says the X9 will handle more acres in less time. “We think with small grains we’ll be doing 70 percent more than with the S790 combine was doing and 50 percent more in corn. Guys are really looking at if they can take one machine out of the rotation and replace three-with-two or four-with-three, it will be a gain.” The new technology was showcased at the True North Equipment Combine Expo.
