As of June 1, there were 11.7 million head of cattle on feed. That’s slightly higher than one year ago and is the second largest June inventory since this series of USDA reports began in 1996. NAU Country Vice President Rich Morrison says the marketings and placement figures were heavily influenced by the selling in North Dakota.
