Basis bids at local elevators across the Northern Plains remains stronger than usual. Van Ahn and Company market analyst Kristi Van Ahn says farmers should be aware of what month those basis levels are based on. “I’ve had many farmers call me and tell me about phenomenal basis levels in corn, but when you pencil it in, a lot of elevators have shifted to September. That would actually be 16 cents under where prices are now.”
