According to a survey conducted by the Bee Informed Partnership, U.S. beekeepers lost more than 45 percent of their managed honey bee colonies from April 2020 to April 2021. The number of honey bee colonies is relatively stable despite the high losses. BIP says beekeepers are increasing the size of their operations to mitigate colony loss.
