USDA has reached a consent decision against Triple Ja Family Farms and John Derner of Buffalo Lake, Minnesota for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards Act. USDA determined this operation failed to pay for more than 300 head of livestock, issuing checks with insufficient funds to livestock sellers. A cease and desist order is now in place and Triple J Family Farms was hit with a $15,000 civil penalty.
