Premium Discount for Farmers Who Plant a Cover Crop

USDA’s Pandemic Cover Crop Program will deliver a $5 per acre crop insurance premium discount for farmers who plant a cover crop. Risk Management Agency Acting Administrator Richard Flournoy says farmers must report acreage information for cover crops by June 15^th. This premium benefit is not available for farmers with Whole-Farm Revenue Protection or the Enhanced Coverage Option.
