President Biden’s FY2022 budget calls for nearly $28 billion in discretionary spending at USDA. That’s up 17 percent from the current fiscal year. That includes $700 million for expanded broadband access. There’s more money for climate smart agriculture, clean energy programs and significant investments in agricultural research. There were no cuts for farm programs or crop insurance.
